Pros

small office environment. job security. HUGE learning experience. colleagues more like family than colleagues. free parking.

Cons

rules/regulation made up as things come up and always to owners' favor. owners are sadly out of touch with reality, have no people skill, governed by greed, do not believe in rewarding hard work. office manager handles HR and IT but is under-qualified to do either. below market value compensation/benefits package. being called a "lifer" there is not a term of endearment. interview process is a joke (who has 8 hour interviews?). no real job training. being criticized by ownership and the office manager (who is a lifer) is the norm, not the exception. terrible hiring practices (handled by the office manager). IT infrastructure is a collection of antiquated components without dedicated support. old and shamble-looking workplace environment. way too much paperwork for what little information is printed on said paperwork. nepotism is the norm, not the exception. 401k is laughable.

Pros

You will learn a lot of the ins and outs of the commercial real estate business. Coworkers are friendly and easy to get along with.

Cons

This company has really high turn over. They have a hard time retaining good employees because of their inability to promote them and horrible work environment. Upper management micromanages everything from having cameras all around the office to see what the employees are doing to restricting internet use on company computers. There is no company culture and employees get reprimanded for talking to one another and helping each other out. This company doesn’t value their employees. It shows by how they talk down on them and overwork and underpay their staff. The president tells the employees they are lucky to even have a job during COVID...

Pros

Office is located in Miracle Mile with beautiful views overlooking the city. Company is stable with a huge portfolio. If they like you - you get to keep your job. If they don't - then good luck. RP has been in the industry for 40 plus years. Great learning opportunities - from property management, leasing, accounting, etc. EVERYTHING THEY DO IS IN HOUSE. You will be working with smart and dedicated people who will help you grow and have knowledge in different things. Medical insurance, 401k with matching.

Cons

Understaffed - accounts receivable literally has one person managing 800 plus tenants. Upper management has unrealistic expectations and sometimes bends the rules for their own gain. Very landlord driven property management company.
