Pros

Pay is average. Some managers try to do what's right to take care of their people. Flexibility and work life balance is great.

Cons

Where do I start? This company is a joke. The VP bullies his subordinates. The director has new clue how to run a chemical business. The sales team doesn't focus on bringing in profitable business. The executive team is rarely seen or heard from. The poor business practices are running the company into the ground AGAIN (filed bankruptcy in 2014). The local managers are bullies, don't know how to have a discussion without yelling, and continuous improvement doesn't exist. Moral at the plant level is poor due to the lack of leadership and direction. The plants are falling apart because hardly any capital is invested on annual basis, but upper management wonders why things are always breaking and employees lack the motivation to excel.

Pros

This company and plant was a pleasant place to work many years ago. pride within production, maintenance and management when when we first started working here. The manager still remembers those times so maybe there is still hope that it will get back to the way it was, but he needs help from other managers. You can't fix it by having people fly in for visits especially when they fly in from Europe !

Cons

Good people are leaving left and right and we do not understand it ! The company has lost great safety and engineering people that cared about the employees ; our plant, and the company. We are not sure why they are leaving but the consensus is that they did not want to work for a individual anymore. It frustrates us to know that the owners of the company are willing to let one person run off great people. We want people that actually care about us and the plant to help not the one that is negative when he shows up. The great leader is getting ready to pay us a visit again and we do not want to hear his BS.

Pros

I have had the opportunity to work with a few great people during my ten years of employment at this circus.

Cons

There are too many cons to list on this site. Upper management including the owners, Vice Presidents and human resources do not care about the people in this company. There is too much drama and manipulation within the upper management. They only care about what makes them look good and not what is good for the company or for the employees. Members of upper management complain about another Vice President responsible for manufacturing because they feel he has ruined the company. I do not work directly with him but he clearly manages as a dictator and has a very high opinion of himself. He has made it miserable for people working for him and has run off anyone that does not agree with his approach. The company has lost valuable people due to his arrogance and the higher ups continue to let it happen. It is hard to watch this happen over and over without people " in charge" stepping in. Hopefully the new owners will terminate his contract !
