Pros

Free lunch every Friday but that might stop too.

Cons

I was with the company for just a over a year. It was great to start as gaining some experience and thought there was advancement within the company and management was good. Then firing started, people continue to quit. Good people including senior management. Then you wonder why. The company pays not great and no raises unless they need you when you try to quit then they offer you a little raises to make you stay. Then management changed in operation department. Manager and director has absolutely no leadership skills. They are in fact bullies. Treat employees horrible and they are finding mistakes to get you in trouble. If they really don't like you, they lay you off. It is beyond awful. The worst of them is communication. Either no communication at all or they talk like a 6 grader. It is embarrassing. Really bad feeling working there as people are constantly worried when would be the next firing. When i started there were 15 on the team and there were 3 a year later. And most people quit. I would suggest look else where.

Pros

There are very little pros.

Cons

Refresh Financial used to be very different from when I was first hired, to now a year and a half later. Their starting wage is low, as well as the ridiculous commissions structure. I've had numerous sales jobs and never have I had to fight so hard to stop other salesman from stealing countless sales I put DAYS if not WEEKS of hard work into. As well as they've now integrated an automated system that TAKES sales from your pocket. They're looking to automate everything and don't care about paying you for the work you put into your leads. The average sales call can range anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour long. If a client can only afford a smaller program size, you get paid barely anything at all! Also all the work that goes into selling their secured VISA? You get 0$ commission for it. Out of the year and a half that I worked there, there was ONLY ONE MONTH that I didnt perform like I usually did and INSTANTLY they gave me a notice telling me I have 30 days to improve or else. They do NOT CARE about you. They only care while you're making them money, and if you dont, you're considered chopped liver. I netted the company over 1 Million dollars in funding within 6 MONTHS, and what was my bonus for that? $100 GIFTCARD. What a JOKE! All of these negative changes started happening when the CEO of the company sold majority of the shares to a third party. Why apply for a job that will ultimately have less and less sales? That doesnt pay you for the work you put in? Less money going into your pocket? Not only that, I was diagnosed with COVID around the time I decided to give my 2 week notice. NOT ONLY did the company not care at all, they asked me to pack my computer equipment up and get it ready for FEDEX who would be coming to pick it up 3 days after being diagnosed ALL while I was sick as a dog. Not only do they not care about a LONG TERM top performing sales employee, but they couldnt care less about the health of the poor FEDEX workers that they were knowingly exposing to the virus. I told them if their computer equipment was so important to get back RIGHT AWAY and they couldnt wait for me to get better, OR didnt care about jeopardizing the health of others, that they should come get it themselves. Of course they didn't. People are quitting left, right, and center. PS. You should change your job post description Refresh! There is NO MORE office. No more ping pong table. No more free beer Fridays, or free lunch Fridays. The employee referral program went from paying out $1000 down to $300 amongst many other changes that clearly arent for the better or benefit of their employees. Still want to apply?
