Pros

Red Level showed great care when it came to communicating with me and providing opportunities to learn, even though I wasn't going to be there for that long. I got to see first hand how a Detroit business works to support Michigan business's by providing Managed Services, IT Services, IT Consulting, and Cybersecurity assistance.

Cons

In my short time there, I didn't have any complaints. Everyone was welcoming, and the opportunities were fulfilling.

Pros

None, I had a consistently bad time working for this company. They make it very clear they do not care about you.

Cons

Absolutely 0 upward mobility, some of the lowest base pay in the industry, and terrible benefits with no guaranteed vacation time. Engineers were forced to go onsite to unsafe environments without proper PPE including a titanium forge and other industrial settings. The only steel toed boots they had to give me were 5 sizes too big. I could barely walk in them. Also the fire proof jacket was a 4XL, I wear a large. I nearly got hit by a fork lift multiple times while on the job. I received 0 training on how to safely navigate the industrial campuses. One of the foundry employees pulled me a side to tell me how it works so I wouldn't get hurt. That should have been done before I got there. HIPPA compliance was never followed even after having a HIPPA compliance training day. They required engineers to break HIPPA law every day I was there. I refused to work on the HIPPA clients because I didn't want to be personally liable. One of the owners who leads the sales team is constantly selling services that the company doesn't have engineers to perform, often resulting in engineers doing work on production systems they are not qualified to do. Many times this resulted in clients leaving. I was told that when I finished grad school (they paid 0%, I paid for everything myself) I would get a raise and/or promotion, after I finished grad school and asked for a raise they fired me 2 weeks before Christmas. This also meant that I didn't get my bonus from the year before because I didn't "stay a full year to vest it". They fired 3 other employees that week, its obvious they just didn't want to pay out our bonuses. They require you to track your work down to the 5 minute mark all day long. This is incredibly stressful all day every day. If you don't have a certain % billable hours they reprimand you. I'd rather work anywhere else. The owners have no clue what they are doing. Do not take the job.

Pros

It’s a job, if nothing else is available. Plan on leaving ASAP.

Cons

Corrupt leaders. If you’re not an owner…you’re worthless.
