Cons

Terrible company that runs on cheap talent. No bonuses, no raises. Boring clients. Awful management. Political. No repect for talents. Manipulative culture. Overworked empolyees. HR does nothing. Harrases employees. Egos. Nothing to put in your portfolio unless you work on proactive works that never gets approved. Burning hours for nothing.

Red Fuse Response

It's unfortunate to hear that you did not have a positive experience working at Red Fuse. As the Chief Talent Officer, I did want to take a moment to address several points you raised in your review: 1. No bonuses and raises: The majority of our staff worldwide is bonus eligible. Very few (if any) agencies can make the same claim. Raises are based on a 12/18/24 month cycle depending on salary level and solely based on an employee's individual performance. To that effect, we distribute raises annually based on this compensation schedule. Raises and bonuses were given out in July to all eligible employees meeting their performance expectations. I have been at Red Fuse over 6 years and raises and bonuses have been paid out each year. 2. Employee harassment - we don't tolerate harassment from anyone irrespective of level, department or discipline. Full stop. 3. With regard to HR doing nothing, I wish I had more context. Both Katie and Anvilla are located on the 6th floor so they are accessible and aware of any issues as they arise. If you felt you were being harassed at work, I would have hoped you reached out to them or to me directly. 4. Creative portfolios: We understand that creating a portfolio is important to creatives - and that's why we have a culture where we do encourage people to develop proactive creative ideas that benefit our clients' brands. Since the agency was founded in 2012, we've won 23 Lions at Cannes (not too shabby for a CPG agency). 5. Based on our Glassdoor reviews, it's pretty clear that our reviews come from a range of current and former employees and our ratings run the gamut. Glassdoor is a website where employees current and former can post anonymous reviews. Similar to Yelp, the company getting reviewed doesn't have control over reviews and much like Yelp, Glassdoor also has processes and systems in place to detect and remove the gaming of reviews. If we did have control over them, I would be settling for no less than all 5-star reviews. The reality is that we'd rather have honest reviews from our current and former employees so that we can continuously improve on employee engagement at Red Fuse. While we strive to create a dynamic and stimulating place that our people enjoy being at, this culture may not suit everyone. Best of luck on your future endeavors.

Terrible Management

Pros

There are many wonderful people that makes work very enjoyable.

Cons

Terrible management from across all departments. There’s no clear sense of direction. There have been a lot of turnaround with top management. HR seems they just there and doesn’t help. They are the reason that everything seems disoriented. Immediate Managers are incompetent in keeping employees. If someone is on their phones, it’s not a crime! They tell you there’s a lot of growth but nothing is happening. There’s a lot of talk but not a lot of actions. Egos are everything in this places. They only handle one client, which gets super repetitive. People look disengaged with the work most of the time.

Pros

The worker bees are generally good people and there are many good people in management roles as well. Integrated creative team is for the most part working out.

Cons

The leadership is just horrendous. Like Donald Trump horrendous. And the clients are among the worst I've ever worked with. Backward, risk-adverse, head in the sand, clueless.
