Pros

Being a Medium Sized Company, it is a great opportunity to learn and grow. They are an ESOP (Employee Owned) and do their best to support their employees equally. The work schedule was great. production worked 4x 10's, and the office varied by department. Purchasing worked 4x 9' s and 1x4, accounting worked 5x8's. Lower pay but good benefits.

Cons

They are restructuring, and that makes it challenging in terms of employee stability. A lot of long time employees have retired or been laid off recently, though not all. They have a lot of growth to do in a short time, so I think it will remain rocky for the next year or so.

Pros

Some of the best reasons to work for Red Dot are the four day work week, two weeks personal time and two weeks of holiday pay. The benefits package is awesome - totally free for all employees and their children. Spouses are only $20.00 per pay period for Medical, Dental and Vision coverage. The company is 100% employee owned, too. Great retirement plan. Good people to work with and for. The company cares about it's employees and treats employees like family. Good atmosphere.

Cons

Not enough vacation time. Only receive two weeks vacation until 7 years of service. Then you get 3 weeks vacation until you've worked at the company for 20 years! There aren't many opportunities for advancement, career growth or promotion because the senior management has been employed with Red Dot for decades...and they aren't going anywhere!
