Pros

There are plenty of chances to learn and practice your craft. I felt like I significantly improved my writing skills on the job. You are immediately asked to produce work that will be published. The dress code is casual, and the workplace is pleasant. You can bring a small pet to your cubicle. Colleagues are culturally diverse and generally helpful.

Cons

The learning curve is steep if you do not have some background in IT. At first, you will definitely feel lost with all the new technical jargon. This can feel overwhelmingly complex at times.

Pros

-Relaxed environment. Great work culture and people. -Great starting salary -Location is clean, appealing, and entertaining. -Work = learning. If you're into life-long learning and staying engaged, you'll love it -Plenty of people to help you get integrated -Snacks I feel like I've left college, and stepped foot into another academic setting- just without the impoverished college student life-style. The company's product has a lot of potential, with few competitors. There is a lot of room for growth and profit. Management is accommodating- employees with life-status changes are taken care of.

Cons

-The commute. If you have to commute via the 101 it can be frustrating -Sitting down all day

Relaxed workplace, solid tech company with a few growing pains.

Pros

Good starting salary, working hours are a cakewalk compared to other tech companies I worked for (some people work 9 to 5 with a 2+ hour lunch break). Diverse bunch of people, mostly friendly. Mix of social events at work: baby showers, birthday/holiday parties and catering, Warriors' games, company softball team. They are flexible with vacation time, and let you borrow vacation days if you don't have them yet.

Cons

Feedback (positive and negative) about job performance is not given very often, and it is sometimes hard to get a sense of how satisfied or not they are with your work. Company grows quickly and projects/plans are modified frequently. A project that seemed important a few months ago can quickly lose relevance. A new project might suddenly spring up and becomes your priority. There is some resistance to change from management.
