Extreme micromanagement

Pros

Non-management people on my team were nice to work with. Building is nice.

Cons

Micromanagement like you’ve never seen before. You can’t make any decisions. Most decisions end up going to the CEO. I’ve never worked for a place where people are fired as often as they are at RSR. They give everyone desktop computers so you can only work in the office. They make you buzz in/out of the building with key cards so they can track how many hours people are putting in. The people who have been with the company 15+ yrs are only sticking around until they can cash in their ESOP’s.

So Glad I Quit

Pros

My immediate co-workers made conditions more enjoyable.

Cons

Absolute worst environment I've ever worked in. The entire team was constantly upset and at odds with management. Management made me feel like I had absolutely no talent. I went through three bosses during my tenure, because two were fired.

Pros

Employee stock, Getting merchandise at cost

Cons

I had several head hunters call me about an analyst job. I worked there several years ago. I told them that if they had an ounce of compassion, do not recruit a person with a family. This place expects 12 hour days, 7 days a week and 24x7 support. When things don't work out due to bad management and their poor planning, you are the scapegoat. Pathetic. Leaving that place was a blessing. The recruiters were telling me that they were always looking for RSR and had no idea why they had a high turn over. One recruiter told me that he felt like he was recruiting for the devil and wanted no part in it after I shared my experience. I feel sorry for others thinking it will be fair, so here I am.
