Pros

Exposed to many different types of technology. Pay is based on time billed so there is almost always an opportunity to make more.

Cons

The remaining partner knows next to nothing about technology. Hours can be difficult with much work scheduled for after hours and weekend time. No bonuses and a poor commission structure. Poor management.

Pros

It's a friendly environment if you learn to keep your head down

Cons

The team is extremely small, with only three people. The HR role is held by the owner's spouse, who shows little concern for employee issues. My complaints about mistreatment by a colleague were ignored for months; they appear "too busy" to address them and make you run around in circles. There is no opportunity for growth. The promises made in the contract are misleading—raises are not provided as stated.

Ramp Up cares about its team members with full acknowledgment that they are the heart and soul of the business. This is illustrated by a number of tenures of multi-decade team members. Ramp Up believes in always addressing communicated employee dissatisfaction, through coaching, additional training, correcting other employees that anre contributing to communication or negative workplace environments and hierarchal reporting adjustments. As we did in this instance. We are a small team, we do rely on our employees being self starters and proactively taking opportunities for company paid training for job responsibilities and additional areas of interest or certifications. This employee neglected to complete any and all virtual trainings we offer and require, gave themselves an elevated title, and decided they did not enjoy doing the primary tasks for which the position was originally filled. While we attempted to conceive of a path toward the employees interest, they were an entry level employee with extensive personal issues and lacking in experience and knowledge of the position which they wanted, which was not an entry level position and is held by our top Systems Engineer and President. We regret that our efforts were seen as insufficient and that the employee’s termination was executed by abandoning their job, without customary notice, and invite the employee to speak with us directly to resolve outstanding grievances. **This employee does not currently work for the company as stated, nor do the titles and positions within the organization correspond with company structure.
