Pros

Overtime flexibility. Flex hours. Many employee perks like Dragons tickets, Gift cards for positive things employee do, cook outs in summer. President is super nice. Clean, air conditioned factory. Expansion in the works.

Cons

Not enough people due to Covid, behind on jobs.

Pros

There is none. These guys will screw you over.

Cons

I was hired as a machinist trainee. I was eager to start and learn everything about the machines. I had left my other full time job for this opportunity. When I started working there they told me they were already training someone so after they trained him they would start training me. Until then they put me to help out in receiving. Because there was no one working there. I was stuck there for three weeks. Helping out box and ship orders doing what I wasn’t hired for. I was also doing “grunt work” some of the stuff they would have high school students do. I was only around one machine called the lathe. It was only for a day until then they told me I had to go back to receiving., because, they didn’t want me to get “hurt.” It wasn’t until my last day there I was called into HR and the girl there told me they had to let me go. I was floored and confused. I was also angered so I asked why?! She said she didn’t have all the details but said I wasn’t “driven” enough to learn about the machines. I was astounded. I couldn’t believe this. I was told to be put in receiving and no where near the machines or other machinists. I was only around the lathe for a day. I walked out shocked. I showed up to work on time and did everything they asked me to do, only to be let go. A while later I asked and heard from Rick Mount. He’s the guy that “runs” the whole place. He said I didn’t follow all of the steps. I couldn’t believe it. What steps?! I followed through on everything I asked questions and did everything there was no feedback or criticism. They didn’t tell me what I needed to work on, or improve. Just told me I had to go. Don’t bother working for these guys...

We are very sorry to hear you have such a negative impression of Ram. While our trainee program has been very successful over the years, we have not yet reached a 100% success rate. We will certainly consider your feedback and evaluate areas for improvement. We hope your experience will not deter you from your ambitions to be a machinist.

Pros

Always getting new equipment and technology. I learned a lot. Flexible schedules with start time from 5-8am. Only go on night shift if you want to. Start out on 1st.

Cons

A lot of overtime in some areas. Most departments are on 45-55 but its time & half for anything over 40
