Pros

stable software as a service products that do not require a lot of training once the customer gets onboarded. i also like how easy it is to do a demo when a prospect wants to see the system.

Cons

the sales cycle can take longer that i want as we sell to a lot of mom and pop small businesses so i can't really hard close them since they don't use anything to begin with. the last software company i worked at i had more sales but way more cancellations so i do prefer this environment.

Pros

I work with the software engineering team on converting our legacy management software to the new .NET system. I am responsible for reviewing how the system worked in the old software and to make it as similar as possible in the web version. The software team is the best I have worked with and extremely talented

Cons

When you take 20 year old software that was desktop based and try to emulate some of the functionality in a new web environment, it does not always play nice. Sometimes the tickets made seem straight forward but can grind on for weeks as we troubleshoot the issue. This is just the life of a QA specialist toiling in the world of R&D.

Pros

All new software since 2022 has made the training and retention of customers so much easier. My main job is to take new customers that used other software and introduce them to ours. Everything we do now is web based so if the customer knows how to use an android or iphone, it is really easy to train them. corporate culture is great for a small company. team members are scattered around the country so we connect through chat and phone.

Cons

not the traditional office culture anymore, where you come in and you see everyone face to face. i list this as a con because some people need/want this. i have worked in enough positions this does not impact me personally though.
