Pros

Manager and below are good people in this company. They’re hard workers who know what they’re doing. They are good at their jobs and they get things done.

Cons

Jody Rookstool, CEO. At the beginning of 2023 he cut employee benefits in half, however rates went up by nearly double. Multiple times Jody has hired teams of 15-20 people only to have them all fired within 4 weeks. He has required that each employee give a positive company review so google ratings increase (note that the positive ratings/reviews in google are 98% from employees that were forced to put those in). Multiple times he has required each employee provide 10 personal contacts from their cellphones to the sales team and has required each employee post about the business on their personal social media accounts. Jody refuses to walk through the production facility so he won’t have to converse with staff. He makes a point to sit in his truck until a meeting is about to start and if he has to go anywhere within production, he walks outside around the entire building. It’s unfortunate to watch a CEO actively avoid his staff of 20ish people given those people are the producers of the product he claims is the best in the business. The entire executive staff is under qualified and overpaid. No one on the exec team, Jody included, understand how to run a company or how to treat employees.

Pros

Free food during employee lunch breaks

Cons

I have never met a company that lacked basic integrity more. How they have not been sued over and over by the people that they have unlawfully screwed over is beyond me. They violated every contract with any partner they had, and cared NOTHING about their customers and employees. The quality of the product went significantly downhill over time, but the prices for the product somehow went significantly up. The overall corporate strategy at QuickFresh is inconsistent and completely according to the whims of the CEO, who really truly doesn't know anything about properly running a company. He violated contracts, hurt the business's partners and external relationships, and asked employees to do ethically wrong things to try to protect his own butt when he knew he was in the wrong. He promised the entire coaching staff incredible bonuses if they put in a lot of work, and then after they put in the work he changed their job structure and never paid them the bonuses promised. He asked the marketing team during the holidays to work overtime and promised them incredible bonuses, and then didn't pay out the bonuses to them either. While I worked at this company, the CEO insulted several employees to other members of the team, not about their ability to work but about their weight and appearance, which is a vile practice of leadership. He said that there were people at the company that he trusted less to do their jobs because they weren't skinny. There are many things lacking in the remaining leadership at the company, including strategy, intelligence, basic human decency, and the ability to follow through. The remaining executives at the company know a lot about how to spend the company's money, and nothing about how to make it back. They thrive in creating a petty culture that is so toxic as a working environment, and fail to take accountability for any repercussions for their own poor decision making. I was shocked by how many people were laid off without warning, without severance, and without a single word from the CEO to explain why. He actually left the building to avoid confrontation because he is a coward that does not take accountability for his own failings. There is a lot I can say about how incredibly poor this experience was for me, but I will just say that I am grateful that I don't work there anymore, and that I wish their employees a speedy new job and their management a drastic change in personality and working ability.
