Pros

Some really hard working, talented people here. Most of them are also pretty friendly and helpful -- people watch out for each other here (at least most of them). The technology is interesting. The pay for the industry is ok. The benefits are pretty solid though. Work-life balance is good. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Quallion and would recommend it to most people.

Cons

Undesirable part of town. Though the company has many good people, there are some truly nasty, political folks who nobody likes (e.g. Director of Battery Development). As long as you avoid these folks you'll be OK. The new CEO was brought in 2 years ago to fix some accounting problems but unfortunately he knows nothing about batteries or the industry and the company's business/technology direction has floundered. As a result, Quallion has started to focus on the industry of last resort for every battery manufacturer: The Military. Most of the biz dev folks have also defaulted to this position for lack of any new ideas.

Pros

Co workers are nice, if you can trust any. My boss was the best.

Cons

Departments constantly bickering against other departments and individuals. Lack of trust.

Pros

Lots of very good hard working people work at this company

Cons

You may find yourself unable to satisfy people whose opinion of you is critical and at the same time do what you must to satisfy other people whose opinions are equally important. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don't happens a lot at this company. Many aspects of the company are still run in a very amateur way. The company is trying to act like a big company but is really operated like a small family business where the opinions of a few who may not know what their talking about often over rule professionals they hire who really do know better.
