Pros

The product is pretty good. Pay tends to be pretty good in comparison to industry. People are nice but since they are based in Wichita, they aren't able to pull people from great healthcare organizations. There is the belief at the company that Wichita is amazing when in reality, its a bad economy so they are able to keep people because there aren't many jobs to pursue.

Cons

CEO is a scumbag. Nepotism is huge problem at Pulse. The CEO's son, daughter-in-law and friends all work for Pulse in varying roles. Most of leadership doesn't know healthcare at all and came from Blockbuster where the CEO came from. And, they have no vision for the future. They do anything to make a sale and the CEO does not appreciate existing customers and only cares about upselling them rather than supporting their success. I have heard numerous belittling and degrading comments from the CEO that you would never hear from a successful company/leader. Crying from employees after internal meetings is not a rare occurrence because of his approach and abrasive personality. The only reason the CEO moved up from CFO is because he was the only one regularly communicating with senior leadership of the company that owns them from France (Cegedim) when the previous CEO's contract had ended. There are some nice products coming out for Pulse in the next few years but there is not enough strategy or staff to implement them. People are leaving left and right and it is a very negative and depressing culture. Like I said, this is a sinking ship.

Pros

Pulse has a good product with a handful of dedicated, intelligent, hardworking people. The product remains certified in Meaningful Use, ePrescribing, EPCS, which allows clients to continue to use their software.

Cons

This company is dictated by a heavy handed CEO who has NO problem yelling & belittling good, hardworking, intelligent people whose biggest fault is not being a YES MAN. The best way to advance in this company is to stroke the CEO's ego. The CEO comes from a long line of failed businesses and he seems to be leading this company down the same path. Very unfortunate for a lot of longtime, dedicated employees. The professionalism is in the tank!

Pros

They pay you a salary, which is low per industry standards, but you will not earn any commissions and all of your sales will fall apart because of lack of reference clients, outdated technology, over prices solutions. Your W-2 will suck and you will be fired because you will not make your sales numbers....nobody company wide is making any sales!

Cons

Incompetent Leadership! You will not earn any commissions and all of your sales will fall apart because of lack of reference clients, outdated technology, over prices solutions. Your W-2 will suck and you will be fired because you will not make your sales numbers....nobody company wide is making any sales! They are a rotating door!
