Pros

The people who work at Propeller are passionate and driven. Generally a flexible work environment. The entrepreneurs we work with almost make it worth it.

Cons

Your success at this organization is directly correlated with the shade of your skin. The lighter you are, the more trust you are allowed and the more opportunities you are given. The darker you are, the shorter your tenure. In the last 12 months, we have had more than a dozen people leave the organization, and the majority were black women. The further away you work from the Executive Director, the better your experience. If you don't jump to thinking her way and doing it her way, she will retaliate and often in ways you won't see until it's too late.

Pros

Particularly in a COVID context, none.

Cons

Terrible management and a lot of lip service to equity while perpetuating white supremancy. Board just seems to be covering for leadership. A destructive place to work.
