Pros

Consistent opportunities to learn and grow. Management rewards all accomplishments and genuinely want you to learn and become a better programmer. Great pay and benefits.

Cons

Clients are demanding but so are all clients.

Pros

Compensation is very good. Benefits are very good. You are given plenty of opportunity to learn. If you like to stay in your comfort zone, Pronto Progress may not be for you. If you enjoy jumping into projects and learning, you will like it. Communications is very important. No one knows everything.

Cons

Work can be stressful. You are dealing with Clients that demand results. There is travel involved. Again, it depends on the Client. I completed a long-term project in Boston, MA. It involved plenty of travel between Tampa and Boston. But it was the most rewarding/educational project I worked on.

Pros

Always work on different projects. Everyone is willing to help or will guide you in the right direction. The company's goal is to not get you to work in the office, but at actual client's sites (usually manufacturing companies). Usually travel expenses are covered fairly. Most of all, A LOT to learn even if you are an amazing programmer. I learned a lot about the business side of manufacturing.

Cons

I started of as an intern and I struggled a lot and had a lot of questions. I like to tell others they like to "throw you in the water and see if you can learn to swim on your own". Barely any training and I had to do a lot of research on my own. Sometimes they expect you to know a lot about business logic, but I've never taken a business class in my life.

Thank you for the feedback. Software Developers are told in advance that they will be working in new languages that they have never been introduced to before, and that they will be researching fixes to what they are stumped by prior to asking for help. They are also informed to not sit in agony for an extended period of time without asking for help. All of our team members work in open offices, easily able to see each other, so no one is isolated on an island by themselves.
