Pros

Flexible schedule. I can set my own schedule if there is work available. Pay is pretty good. I sample a variety of products each day, so it is not boring. If the weather is bad, I can reschedule a demo.

Cons

The biggest downside is the fact that I am considered a independent contractor and the company does not take out taxes, which is a real headache. There are also surprise audits to see how you are doing. Also the jobs schedule is erratic. Some weeks I work 4 days, some 3, or even just 1. Some months I barely work, and others are crazy busy.

Pros

I can only share the pro in that I enjoyed the job description/role of my Project Staffing Coordinator position. I enjoyed aspects of event staffing itself, but can't really offer up a pro for the Company in particular. Although, I will say that the pay scale and medical benefits was decent/ average.

Cons

I worked for Promoworks before Crossmark bought the Company out. I enjoyed my job of staffing events, and the opportunity of working virtually/remote from home. However the direction/guidance from Home Office generally felt detached, scattered, disorganized, and all over the place. And there seemed to be a high-pressured, rushed, negative vibe hanging overhead so often. It wasn't a positive environment where you felt appreciated, no matter how hard you worked. Instead of a leadership vibe that leaves employees feeling inspired, energized, and valued ----it typically felt the opposite.

Pros

Working 4 to 6 hr. shifts in different locations doing Product Sampling Demos.

Cons

Pay never increases and is no longer competitive with other similar positions. Carrying around all of the equipment to set up the demo in a store.
