      Pros

      Able to build amazing relationships with clients and help make a difference in their life!

      Cons

      High standards, which is great but unrealistic expectations. I was expected to do the work of two managers. One of the positions I was not trained nor qualified for but held accountable for when something went wrong. My direct manager was condescending and stated to me upon her hire she was ‘bossy and manipulative’. I left due to lack of organization in management.

      The clients are the only positive thing about working here.

      Cons

      1. Management is unorganized, dysfunctional, and chaotic. 2. Executive director is manipulative and moody. 3. Staff are under appreciated and expected to move mountains for the clients that have severe disabilities and little resources. 4. The only form of communication with management is via written memo. 5. Very high turnover rate. 6. Environment is depressing. No one seems to be truly happy to work there. 6. They claim to have excellent training, but it's really not even adequate.

      This agency really cares for the DD population. Provides good training for staff, fun outings and events with clients.

      Cons

      Really high standards, for good reasons. But if you don't like a challenge then this job is not for you!
