Pros

- About 4/5 people make working here tolerable - Free tea, coffee and squash - Free fruit

Cons

I cannot stress enough how toxic and dysfunctional Prime is. From poor management to an unhealthy work culture, this company is a classic example of what happens when leadership is ineffective, unprofessional, and completely out of touch with its employees. The management team is unqualified and lacks basic leadership skills. Rather than leading by example, they engage in favouritism, micromanagement, and condescending behaviour. Employees are rarely acknowledged for their hard work, and instead, are constantly criticised and berated, often in front of their colleagues. When issues are brought up, management either ignores them or retaliates against employees who dare to speak out. There are no real opportunities for career advancement. Promotions and raises are given based on favouritism rather than merit. Training is minimal, and employees are often set up to fail rather than given the resources needed to succeed. Any new ideas or feedback are dismissed outright, leaving employees feeling unheard and undervalued. If you value your mental health, professional growth, and overall well-being, stay far away from Prime. The constant stress, lack of support, and toxic work culture makes it an unbearable environment to work in. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere, there are far better companies that will appreciate your hard work and treat you with the respect you deserve.

Pros

Hard to think of any pros apart from some lovely people I met who sadly also left or think of leaving soon

Cons

By far the the worst place I ever worked in. Bullying, blame culture, lack of training and support are few of a many reasons why this place has one of the highest staff turnover. Instead of growing and embracing your team’s various skills and knowledge it works more on “my and your” job. One person with all knowledge but unwilling to share and train new people. Scared of a change and process improvement. It got to a point when my mental health started suffering and I was anxious about having to endure another day in a place like this and had no other choice than to leave.

Pros

Enjoyed working with the wider teams and the bespoke accounting system.

Cons

The interview process was quick and was offered the job the same day as the first (and only) interview. I was low balled on my first salary offer (over £3k under the UK average, according to Glassdoor). Direct manager needs serious training - I was in tears almost daily towards the end. I was expected to know everything almost immediately with minimal training and when I asked for further training, most requests were denied - more junior tasks were allocated and the tasks I had asked for more training on, were stripped from me. Due to the poor organisation and a lack of a proper training programme, my review meeting was pushed back by over a month - I felt I had hardly any guidance or direction. I have never experienced a blame culture quite like Prime Global, if I made a mistake during the learning process - something that is both completely normal and to be expected - this was often openly discussed in a group meeting. I often felt ridiculed, embarrassed and humiliated. Once long hours were worked out of necessity, they seemed to be expected. Hard work, extra hours or accomplishments were rarely recognised, nor praised. Most opportunities for my learning or growth were blocked. My capabilities were undermined at every turn and my self esteem and confidence was completely shot. I was often told to just “chill out” and “relax” if I brought up an issue or asked for more training. At one point, I was even told “I don’t know what’s wrong with you”. I have never been treated so badly. My mental health took a severe beating and I ended up dreading each working day. Ironically, or rather: worryingly, said Manager, is recognised and championed by Prime Global as a ‘mental health first aider’. I felt I had no other option left than to hand my notice in. I then made HR aware of my experiences and treatment with detailed written accounts of the worst of them and, (70 days later), received a short standard response, with no explanation for my experiences.
