Pros

The company is divided in two groups, the public facing group, which is mainly composed of non-Russians, and the tech group, which is mostly, if not completely, Russian-Ukrainian. My team in particular was pretty outstanding. You're smart, speak 2-3 languages, hold several degrees, have lived in different countries and that makes you feel pretty special? Think again, this company is composed of people like you. It is the most multicultural environment I've worked in. It's pretty cool to hear different languages spoken around. It is a very intelligent, talented, motivated group of people. All are self-starters, you give them an idea and they will run with it. Lots of opportunities to learn a lot about tech. I advise you to go in there and be a sponge. Absorb all the information you can get and then RUN with it!

Cons

If you're coming into the company to grow within it, think again. It will not happen. You have to come here with a plan. If you're someone who has no experience in tech and you want to take the leap, this is the place to do it. PressReader is excellent as a springboard to bigger and better things. You will have to be good at keeping track of what you do to be able to defend every decision you've taken as management has a tendency to point the finger at you and side with the clients instead of being on your side and working with you. They will tell you the hierarchy is flat, that is untrue, you will have younger, inexperienced, power-tripping managers that will treat you disrespectfully. You have to have a thick skin and be able to move on and keep your target in sight, which hopefully is to take your newly acquired knowledge, elsewhere. I would recommend this workplace to people who have a clear goal, are motivated and make things happen. If you're a lifer, you're in for misery or perhaps you will not even notice.

Pros

Free coffee. Free fruits daily. Bright and open areas. Can't think of anything else!!!

Cons

Toxic and hostile environment. No structure. No management. No functional human resources. No opportunity for growth. Bad employees are kept around because they are friends or family members of the CEO or executives. Work life balance is VERY discouraged.
