Pros

Some coworkers will be really amazing, quickly accruing PTO, good job out of college if you want to work in mental health, moderate to good compensation for entry-level positions, they can be flexible with your schedule if they like you, lots of exposure to different client populations

Cons

Incredibly toxic work environments, mediocre to awful management, unequal sharing of workload, zero accountability for people not doing their jobs, no raises, little to no support in an incredibly stressful time. "Keep working hard," they say, but no increase in compensation. A decrease in benefits to "cost save" in time of corona. Questionable patient care, such as cramming patients into their partial hospital programs in the MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC, allowing kids who do not benefit from milieu therapy into program that disrupt it for other children. They do not listen or care about your opinion unless you have an advanced degree or are in upper management. Also, borderline hostile to people of color. They speak of the importance of diversity but one look around their organization will let you know how they practice those beliefs.

Pros

Good experience in the field, multiple programs that serve different age and behavioral groups, multiple sites in the metro area with expansions opening soon

Cons

Management focused on financial bottom line, declining care to patients, lack of concern for staff safety, high turnover rate for nurses and psych techs, drifting away from core values, becoming just another provider

Pros

Able to work in fairly new facility. Free parking. Internships and affiliation with U of M.

Cons

Benefits/Pay High turnover of professional staff Poor onboarding, no mentors and lack of structured training. Abusive for profit mentality where $$$$$ rules above everything else. Sr management is missing experienced leaders.
