Decent but low pay and questionable work place norms make you want to look elsewhere for long term employment
Pros
A. New facility with plenty of amenities B. Most employees can enjoy flexible hours and PTO C. Booming industry that will allow for plenty of growth in the near future
Cons
A. Low pay that is not comparable to companies in similar industries. The benefits offered do not make up for this. Benefits are relatively common and nothing spectacular. B. Clique-like in nature (specifically amongst low level employees) C. It appears that if a fellow colleague is well-liked, they can get away with more (office politics play a big role here). Things tend to be evaluated on a case by case basis. D. Bending work place norms (i.e. M/F employees in mid management and support roles fraternizing). Competitors in similar markets do not allow this kind of behavior and there are harsh consequences. E. Family company with plenty of family members working amongst employees. I personally don't want me workplace to resemble a family. F. Members of the executive team will do rounds to ensure employees are working. Babysitting your employees will not keep the good ones.
