Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Fast paced work and interesting work. A lot of great people in general throughout the company who are knowledgeable professionals.

Cons

While most departments have good management, not all departments are the same. The department I worked in created a toxic work environment. Worked long hours and was verbally mistreated on a regular basis. Was encouraged to seek professional development opportunities but then was denied those opportunities by the department manager after taking initiative.

Cons

Significant disconnect between vision and execution at the operational level Lack of clear career pathways for non-engineering roles; advancement criteria are inconsistent and often unclear Performance metrics (like utilization) heavily tied to factors employees don’t control Organizational changes are frequent but not well-communicated, creating confusion and instability
