Pros

Technologies stack Colleagues were good at a time

Cons

A toxic work environment is driven by management Very old school processes and ways of working Looks like a good and modern company in the media but don't actually live up to their ideologies and standards

A workplace with no work culture

Pros

- Enthusiastic colleagues looking to make a difference. - Fun brand to be part of. - A product to be proud of. - Amazing work-life balance.

Cons

The company culture is completely lacking and unclear. Some departments are modern, fun, with benefits and agile work structures, and others are a copy-paste of Volvo Cars (including the employees). Some teams are remote-friendly while other require full-time office work. The differences also results in silos and a hierarchical structure of very strong top-down decision making which is not common for a Swedish company Some colleagues are really looking to make a change whereas others are relient on work functions they've done for the last 30 years and are not interested in a change. And there seems to be no feedback process in place. On top of that, I've never been at a workplace with so little employees' benefits. There seems to not be a budget for anything, not even during planned team workshops, so let alone for holiday celebrations or skill building programmes. I think HR should start focusing on what kind of company Polestar aims to be and set a clear direction. Otherwise, you might as well work for Volvo and get a higher salary.

Toxic Working place

Pros

Maybe car benefit, maybe. If you like to talk a lot (I mean really really a lot) there might be good opportunities for you.

Cons

There is no real benefit other than a car allowance, like a division of Volvo, not a separate company, bad management. Everybody on the mid-level managers is school friends or buddies, and there is no space for newcomers.
