Sad to see these legacies tarnished

Pros

Unlimited PTO, working from home 4 days a week, and some of the people are wonderful

Cons

So many amazing people have left or been laid off, but when senior leadership is primarily external hires it’s no surprise that they don’t value hiring from within. Also there are a few people in senior leadership that clearly never got the memo that nepotism isn’t a good way to run a business. And if you do hire your friends, they should actually be qualified.

Pros

Fun colleagues, many paid holidays and time off, remote

Cons

You would never guess they are the second largest healthcare entity in NE. Management promotes unqualified individuals, gives backhanded compliments, dishes out petty work assignment aka (quiet firing), they are rebellious to suggestions, always question or second guess decision skills. Makes no movement in creating a positive work environment. Lacks clear directives to make you successful. Sets new colleagues up for failure. Rewards bad behavior, embarrass colleagues in operations meetings. Management lacks customer service skills, does not read emails. Expects you not to speak on topics but notoriously goes silent when needing answers. Internal collaborations are strained, due to lack of training, repetitive issues circling Internally. High turnover in other departments making jobs difficult because your job is highly dependent on others. Internal tone is foul especially direct leadership.

Pros

Remote work is about all that’s good anymore.

Cons

Revolving door in senior leadership, competing against ourselves. Middle management is running the company due to incompetence in senior leadership. No resources available to support staff through the constant environment of change. We’re losing the talent we’ve worked so hard to develop. Lack of culture, too many goals to keep up with day to day jobs- indecisive leadership resulting in a lot of start and stop initiatives. Leaders too focused on cost saving initiatives creating a revolving door of distractions with vendor pitches on how to save money while also hiring consultant firm after consultant firm to give senior leaders direction never followed. Demand for reporting without hiring capable analysts. Culture and mission has become save money over everything and drain resources on each thought bubble leadership has. I worry for company’s future
