From best to absolute worst

Pros

- There are so many incredible, talented people at this company who make this a fantastic place for learning and developing your skills - The company is remote-first, which provides a great work-life balance

Cons

- The leadership is arrogant and insensitive. They seem completely unwilling to admit there are things they don’t understand or could learn more about to actually be effective in leading the company towards success - Change management is awful, changes are terribly scoped out and not communicated well at all - The upper management that replaced the previous management is terrible at communication, and somehow manage to make everyone feel completely unmotivated. The overall feeling is that they are here for a short period of time, they just want to make their changes to get some stats for their CV and will not stop to think about how they are coming across.

Change for the worst

Pros

The staff working for Pod Point are all incredible and hard-working people. There is excellent comradery across all business units and no egos to compete with.

Cons

Upper management has recently made many high-level changes across the company, including a confusing restructuring that has led to many business functions being outsourced. From joining to leaving, the business has gone from having a vision of internal excellence and external progress to only caring about short-term financial goals. The worry about share price and investors has led to a change in management and, a year later, to a reduction in workforce and an increase in external contractors and third-party companies taking on the roles instead of internal training and or clear communication to what is needed from the current staff. There is a severe divide between what the management of Pod Point believes is important for the business and what the staff working there believe is important.

Pros

Had the pleasure to work with some great people

Cons

Multi-year redundancies and lack of clear direction from management have clearly put a toll on the morale and the output. The pursuit of revenue over customer satisfaction and employees can be clearly seen by the irrelevancy path they are slowly sliding down. The company simply doesn't care and has not been listening to their customers and employees, but this is not new and has been going on for years.
