The company lacks in providing true consulting opportunities to employees. The CEO is all about maintaining appearances (so phony), has a single make shift office through Regus in Union Square, no real room for consultants to work or collaborate or learn. Very disingenuous CEO, lays off consultants quickly (less than a month/without warning/ if not on project) even though he lures them early on with a promise of a paid bench. During my time there, really good consultants/colleagues and directors were randomly let go, because they weren’t billable. Lots of better consulting firms to join in this town than Plaster Group. I transitioned into a full time opportunity at a client site as soon as it was available. I strongly recommend NOT joining Plaster Group unless you are desperate to get a foothold in this industry.
Worst part about this firm is the lack opportunity, no real growth potential for consultants and a poor CEO who fakes it well. Super reactionary, unpredictable guy, if you are not drinking his koolaid, you are gone! Some good, intelligent senior level consultants and directors but the CEO can’t keep talent around because of how he poorly treats people. Not recommended.
