Pros

During my time at the company, I had the opportunity to work on good projects that provided decent learning and growth. Certain teams were collaborative and supportive, and working alongside talented colleagues allowed for knowledge-sharing and a good atmosphere—at least within smaller groups and departments.

Cons

During my time at this company, I observed highly unethical HR practices which overshadows the pros. There is effectively no bench policy, resulting in forced resignations as soon as employees are off a billable project, even for those who have served the company for five to ten years. New hires brought on for short-term roles, sometimes lasting only two months, often found themselves pressured to resign immediately once their project ended. The company’s failure to honor contractual notice periods reveals a disregard for employee agreements and heightens the sense of job instability. Moreover, poor work-life balance and a disconnect between leadership and the realities faced by staff contribute to low morale. Compounding these issues is a culture of condescension from top management, where employees appear to be viewed as easily replaceable rather than valued partners in the organization’s success.

Pros

On-time salary and working with new technologies

Cons

If you are in a project you are safe but once you are out of the project, you can count your days for forceful resignation. Once you are out of the project, you have to migrate to either bangalore or chennai. If you are not interested in that, they will give you two opportunities to get selected into other projects. No matter how hard you perform you will not be selected. Even a person who does not have any technical skills will interview you and will reject. The PMO team is too worse and HR policies are worst. No job security for employees from day 1 itself. Variable pays and annual appraisals are delayed all the time and after a while you will forget about them until they got credited and you will get less than 90% of your variable pay. If you are on bench before the review, forget your variable pay. Senior management will give you lectures about work life balance but when it comes to practical they will forget about it.

Toxic Culture, Exploitative Policies, and Fake Reviews – Stay Away

Pros

There are no pros to talk about, at all.

Cons

Atrocious leave policy, especially in the US — only 6 days of PTO per year You "earn" 1.25 days per month, capped at 15 annually, but good luck actually using them If your client takes holidays not recognized by Photon, you’re forced to use your own earned leave — if you’re out of balance, you go on unpaid leave No project (bench)? No pay. You're treated like dead weight until you’re billable again Absolutely no job security or support if you’re not on a project — you're just a number HR is useless and only exists to protect management Rampant favoritism and internal politics dictate promotions and growth Chaotic management with zero strategic direction Toxic work culture with unrealistic expectations and no work-life balance Most of the glowing reviews here are fake or staged — new hires and interns are pressured to post them
