Pros

They have recently made some great additions to upper-management that are already starting to pay dividends. They have helped changed the culture to make it very transparent and collaborative. I'm very grateful to be working at Performance Health. Love everyone on my team. Also love that we sell products that make a true difference in how people live their lives.

Cons

I don't have any complaints.

If you work in a technical role, pass on this company.

Pros

Pay and benefits are average

Cons

Many directors unable to effectively run projects or even understand issues at hand which leads to a large amount of hurry-up-and-wait, excessive wheel spinning and a lot of last minute emergencies which could have been easily avoided. Definitely a model of a company which was too unstable for a bank loan and thus was forced to prop itself up with private equity. Given the current budgetary climate, there is an excellent chance of profitable segments of the company being sold off in the near future by the private equity firm which owns the company. Expect a lot of hard work and long hours for no gain and a lot of uncertainty about the future of the company.

Pros

Decent pay, benefits, people, and work make the job pleasant. Company has real talent at many levels of the organization.

Cons

Major disruption to the business when Patterson Medical acquired Performance Health. Further disruption and position elimination across departments that were already lean when new Executive Leadership was brought on board. Job eliminations were grossly mishandled and new leadership showed absolutely no regard to the amount of work managers could handle by doubling work-load of departments to offset eliminated personnel as well as to offset added Exec Staff to the top of the org chart. New leadership has no interest in learning the core legacy business and making slow rational decisions because the private equity firm holding the company has targets to meet.
