Pros

Nothing good to write about

Cons

Good ole boy employer. It does not matter how much experience and education you have, if you are not a part of the click you don’t have a chance. Outrageous cost for benefits.

No longer the company they use to be!

Pros

you will meet some great people, but be prepared to be stabbed in the back. No room for growth unless you are related to someone in management, under-qualified, or do a poor job.

Cons

This company has fallen apart over the last 3 years. I have worked over 7 years with this company and it doesn't matter how loyal you are to them, if you are not a "Yes" man, you will not last. They do not like change, or outsiders, and will treat you like a dog. You can make a ton of money for them, but if they want a family member (who doesn't have a clue about construction) to take your place, you are out of there. They do not give their talent the option to grow in the company and advance. Instead, the poorer the job performance, or the more dishonest and disloyal you are, the higher up you go. You've been warned...

Pros

The pay is great, per diem is good too. They have work for the next few years in different locations around the US.

Cons

The company reputation is going down the drain. If you are not related to someone important, dont even bother; very few "outsiders" move up or even last there very long. If you are not from Baton Rouge, LA or any of the surrounding parrishes, hang it up. Cliques and family rule the jobs. Safety is preached to employees, but when it comes down to the bottom line, they will throw safety out of the window every time. Use caution accepting a job with Performance Contractors, turnover is the highest I have ever seen, EVER. When i started the job the employee numbers for the project were in the 13,000's; when i left, ten months later, the numbers had jumped to almost 21,000. The maximum number of employees on the job at any given time is about 2500, so you could say the manpower turned over 3 times in ten months. you have been warned.
