Pros

They provide a paycheck and health insurance.

Cons

They apparently reserve the right to raise health insurance premiums when ever they want. They decided to not cover dependants anymore for certain employees so premiums jumped from ~$200 per paycheck to ~1200 and are not allowing us to opt out since open enrollment is over. 401K match is only up to 6% It's the end of March and they have still not sent an accurate W2. Local management doesn't promote people based on merritt, only based on who they like. If you have issues (HR, payroll, etc) the only option to get it resolved is submit a ticket, there is no longer a person that you can call.

Pros

I have yet to find one.

Cons

I have worked at Peraton on a Department of Homeland Security contract for over a year before recently quitting. During the past few months, I have seen Peraton negatively disrupt the contract that I was working on. The application I worked on continued to rapidly degrade under Peraton. At least two higher ranking Peraton employees were well aware of the application's increasing issues, yet repeatedly chose to ignore them, disrupting the DHS's ability to properly function. The two employees in question even have admin rights to the application, which they most certainly should not. I notified HR of numerous concerns while working at Peraton, and they also failed to properly address them, including a sex based discrimination complaint. They even appeared to retaliate against me for doing so. On my resignation, an HR rep even admitted to siding with the individual I reported, proving their unethical and suspicious bias. They terminated my account the next day, leaving me unable to complete the employee resignation checklist that they claimed I am required to complete. I eventually notified DHS employees of my concerns. I even notified Peraton's CEO of HR's behavior. My Peraton account was terminated before I could see a potential response to that email. Peraton is likely being investigated by the government for their suspicious behavior. I imagine DHS employees are possibly being investigated as well.

Pros

Their PR team works their tails off to keep the company rating above a 3

Cons

When Peraton broke away from Harris it pulled over all of the government contracts. You would never know this since they also pulled over every management and HR person who has no idea what it is we do. If you're look for a crew position stay far away from this company, they have no idea what it is and they bend you over when it comes to paying you for hours all of the other companies have no problems doing. They destroyed their benefits package to make themselves look cheaper to pick up more contracts, but trust me they'll never be able to fill the billets and the customer will soon figure that out. If you listen to anything I say it's to stay far away from this self serving cesspool that only cares about paying the "big wigs" they bring in, rank and file better be happy with scraps and no overtime/holiday pay. Also better hope you don't get sick or have regular Dr's appointments because it will cost you your family vacation.
