Professional Skillset development is massively encouraged and there is a lot of opportunity to have business accumen coached by people with success in the indusrty.
I'm currently mid-way through my Business Development Programme and so far I've mastered Face to Face Selling, Leading small teams of 3-7 people, being a personal 1 on 1 mentor and coach for 4 people, Interviewing, job posting and talent scouting on multiple platforms, whilst also starting to develop a strong professional network within the industry.
Cons
In order to complete the BDP there is a tonne of theoretical study as well as application based learning. Its like doing my 3 year university course but all condensed into 1 year.
Whilst working with Peak Performance I was able to start with little to no experience with Sales and Marketing to now being respoinsible for a team of 17 people made up of Sales Executives and Coaches.
Not only have I learnt to sell to a high level, but I've been taught the skillsets to recruit, train and lead teams of sales people successfully. This includes tracking and managing KPIs, providing help and support to people learning new skillsets.
As a partner, I have now learnt how to do all Administration Task including HR and contracting, I've been trainined to be heavily envolved in the client relations and the company finance.
I'm now in a position where I am able to run and manage a franchise to a high level and in the process of setting a new franchise in the North West and becoming a Director.
The list of clients which we work with is among the biggest industry leaders globally.
Cons
Everything that is worth doing in life is hard work at first. Initially, picking up the sales skills I found pretty straight forward, but I struglled learning how to coach and train people.
