Pros

It was honestly an amazing experience! Absolutely love my country of service, my host family & other volunteers I met.

Cons

All of my issues are with Peace Corps and not my country of service. Peace Corps isn't actually an international development program, at most I'd call it a cultural exchange. Peace Corps HQ mishandles mental health issues, sexual assault issues, and race issues. Volunteers aren't given voices and often treated like children.
