Management likes to portray the company as a ‘family oriented’ company. The truth is – favourism and bias practice in the upper management, HR and merchandisers. Favoured staff are encouraged to gossip on others. Staff are treated as expendables – you are valued if you side with the management, curry up to them, even when decisions are made without justifications. Employees are not valued based on their contributions. Promotions of staff are not done with merits; you will find the least experienced people sitting comfortably in management positions simply because they do what they are told. In the worst situations, the true colours of people are revealed. The Company took the most unreasonable steps to cut up to 60% of staff salaries without engaging the staff properly and doing it on an indefinite timeline.
