You can be sacked for being in the wrong place or going to the loo too many times or indeed defending your rights-The main managment/ don,t realy care about workers-they just see them as neccessary inconviences and there is a structure of gossip ego and hierarchy that is more suited to an episode of east enders and the factory is just as depressing as an episode of said soap.

I witnessed some of the worst examples of poor management that I have witnessed. Staff that were shouted at with foul language thrown in for good measure. This was done in front of colleagues. One female manager actually used the 'C' word aimed at a subordinate, which I found totally unacceptable in any environment. In the HR department there was a board with the names of the staff that were leaving each day. There were not many days when someone wasn't leaving. I left when I discovered that my manager was dishonest and others lacked the basic skills that a manager should have. No one bothered to ask why I was leaving which I found sad and also worrying.
