      Not a good fit for anyone who values ethical business interactions

      Pros

      There are a lot of opportunities to make improvements here and work on high profile projects. There are a lot of young staff which creates an energetic environment.

      Cons

      70+ hrs week is expected. Answering your phone at 2AM is also expected. Taking earned vacation time is frowned upon and mocked behind your back with derisive laughter. It is a cut-throat culture; if you are not in the room (participating in the bullying of staff members) then you are on the menu. Very clique oriented. Like Middle School. Unethical practices in many departments get a complete blind eye from HR. Public humiliation and ridicule of staff is the norm.

      Pros

      The company seems somewhat eager to fix the problems at our site. Sending representatives to assess our problems has been bittersweet.

      Cons

      It doesn't seem like Patheon as a corporation understands large molecule manufacturing. They are obsessed with metrics that don't go well with mammalian cell culture.

      Decent Pay and that is about it

      Cons

      Upper management is completely invisible, the equipment is severely outdated, the building is dilapidated (it rains inside at least once a month due to leaks), & the work environment is atrocious. The safety of employees is often neglected and ignored in favor of budget cuts and saving money.
