Assistant Preschool Teacher/Preschool Department
Pros
I absolutely LOVED my time working at the Parker Core Knowledge Preschool. It's a very rewarding job being able to work with Preschoolers and help them grow. It's amazing building relationships with the kids, but also their parents. The parents play a HUGE role in the kids success as well and the parents of these children are amazing at doing that. The Preschool Director is very welcoming and is always there to hear your ideas, but also there for support. The teacher you work along side is always there to help you along with other teachers within the Preschool. Overall, it's a very supportive environment and I highly recommend working here if you love working with kids and helping them grow.
Cons
The only con I would give is that Preschool Teachers are not paid year round/salary like the K-12 teachers. It's hourly pay which means long breaks and summer break go unpaid which meant for most of us there while I was working had to find another job for the summer to make any type of money at all.
