Pros

- Good to learn the basics of recruitment - Incentives - In-house trainer

Cons

Everything else! - Outdated, 80ies like management style with core values such as mistrust your employees and control everything they do. - No flexibility at all. Very rigid working hours, no flex time, set lunch break (if you have a meeting or call in between - tough! No lunch break for you), sickness not allowed. During tube strikes or massive delays, you are expected to be above this and be in 8 am sharp. However, turning up hungover and late after a night our seems to be acceptable. - Economical developments aren't factored in and are qualified as excuses (i.e. Brexit is nonsense and isn't affecting billing). - Very average pay - Promises re promotion and salary increases are related to hitting KPIs - which have more often then not been changed once you hit them - leading to career progression being very sporadic and at the discretion of the MD, rather than being based on hitting your targets. - No transparency withing the business - 'Managers' are top billers pushed into these roles without having had any training. Leads to horrific management styles in most cases.

Pros

- good mix between flexibility and guidance that enables you to improve your activities - management team is always approachable and offers help when needed, they genuinely care about your success - clear and transparent targets, you always know what is expected of you in order to progress at Parallel - European team with natives who possess market knowledge and understand the countries' culture - brilliant incentives, from team targets to annual top biller holidays, as well as company trips to cities like Amsterdam, Barcelona & Ibiza - fun and sociable colleagues that make it much more than just going to work every day - always a positive atmosphere in and out of the office - overall a great place to work that I can only recommend

Cons

- strict working hours just like in any other recruitment company but creates a good buzz on the sales floor

Pros

- Really positive and great working environment, I interviewed for several other recruitment agencies, but none left as good an impression as Parallel, the working environment really stands out for the right reasons. - Great training - They have an internal trainer who has a great training programme set up with a great balance of classroom learning and practical. I never once felt like I was thrown in the deep end and had constant help when needed throughout my training which is hard to come by in recruitment. - Really strong management and teams - Great team incentives as well as individual incentives and everyone genuinely works so well together within their teams. The support the managers consistently offer is excellent and they are always willing to help with areas you're struggling in or help with targets you're trying to hit. - Great atmosphere - in work and out work - really friendly and great environment to work in. Everyone is really social and welcoming. It's very easy to settle in when you start, very different to the stereotypical 'lad' environment expected of recruitment agencies. Great company to work for.

Cons

- Don't go into it if you're not willing to work hard, it's a great company but you are expected to work your hardest like with any job.
