      Pros

      During the interview, the position sounded like a good opportunity to add value to a project and to expand my skill set. Hiring manager gave idea of much autonomy and opportunity to learn.

      Cons

      Hiring manager was disengaged, little on-boarding support, project leader micromanaged, project leader was not open to discussion about what wasn't going well, project leader shared negative comments about other team members. Many people are over-worked and stressed out.

      Good Place to Work, But Way Behind the Times

      Pros

      • If you are motivated, there are ample opportunities to grow professionally and influence the business. • There are a handful of incredible managers at the company. If you are lucky enough to work for one, you will learn a ton and be fully supported in your own development. • Employees are generally friendly and nice. • Work hours and location are often flexible. • The company is somewhat entrepreneurial, so there is freedom to operate autonomously.

      Cons

      • Behind the times: There’s not much innovation or creativity at Paragon. Compared to the competition, Paragon’s business model, approach, and outcomes seem outdated. Client deliverables lack the polish and style of competitors. • Talent gap: Paragon has a really hard time attracting and retaining smart, high-energy people. It’s a very average group of folks doing average (or less) quality work • Lack of diversity: Employees are overwhelmingly white, male, and middle aged. • Outdated sales and delivery approach that relies on schmoozing rather than truly understanding the market, where the company fits, and how it can get ahead.

      Cons

      * Promotion is very political - not based on merit * Pay raises are minimal * Have all the high level management and processes of a big company even though they are not
