Pros

The benefits definitely deserve merit. The paid time off is exceptional. The company provides an onsite medical clinic completely free to all employees. Currently, PGT has two cafeterias and is about to open a groundbreaking 24 hr daycare facility to help assist in employee childcare needs.

Cons

"Mandatory Overtime." This is a publicly traded company, and Florida is a right to work state. You will quickly find that you are working over your scheduled hours on your scheduled days, and also being forced to work on at-least one of your days off. The wages based on the physical requirements alone should start two or so dollars above what is currently offered starting out.

Pros

The location was close to where I lived.

Cons

The fake reviews as I have noted below show the lack of truth, transparency, authenticity, and a complete lack of morals & ethics. If they are lying to you before you get hired, what would make you want to work for a place like this. I wish that I never did. PGT is posting fake reviews (prob. someone in HR and knowing them they will probably get written up for it if they are not liked). Check out November 30, 2020 review, "Friendly to new hires" posted by a Current Team leader then kindly scroll down to November 24, 2020 post also with the headline, "Friendly to new hires" by a current Process Engineer employee. Copied verbatim. Now check out the review on November 22, 2020, "A great experience" by Former Engineer employee, then scroll down to November 16, 2020 also oddly enough entitled, "A great experience" by a Former Debt Collector Employee. And yet again check out November 18, 2020 entitled "This is a fantastic company" by a current team leader employee - then just two days later on November 16, 2020 also entitled "This is a fantastic company" by a current Debt Collector employee. ADDED FAKE REVIEWS: THIS ONE IS #4 So here we go again with YET ANOTHER FAKE REVIEW ENTITLED, “Learn and grow” posted on December 20, 2020 by a Current Assistant Engineer – This is the 4th, YES 4TH FAKE REVIEW that was copied and pasted from another “Current Employee”, but a technichan this time on November 30th – also copied verbatim. SHAME ON YOU PGT, SHAME ON YOU. There are other 5 star reviews also more recent as well where I would question the validity of them also – but use your judgement and trust your instincts. Fake is exactly what PGT is - what they project on the outside is VERY, VERY different than what is on the inside when you walk through those doors. Leadership is oh so very arrogant, HR is highly incompetent (and rude), and safety is also a joke. I didn’t feel safe there at all. They hire their friends and family – they pay them WAY more than their incumbents even when they have significantly less experience. Now I fully support employee referral programs, but the people that are referring their "friends & family" are senior leaders - directors, vp's, senior vp's. The same is true for when they promote and review their "friends and family". That is wrong and well, you know where I am going with this.... They promote people who do not even meet the MINIMUM requirements when it comes to education and experience. If you are a suck up "yes" person and you don't challenge the status quo - you are golden as long as you can keep that facade throughout your career at that place. But then again for narcissists and sociopaths, that comes naturally.

Pros

-Gained a lot of knowledge amongst working with the engineers -Time off was easy

Cons

Literally everything -Will lay people off to protect their income in a heartbeat -Redundant work -Terrible pay -Minimal benefits -Dated management -Execs are extremely overpaid & essentially get pampered, if you aren't in their circle of friends, you're disposable
