Pros

The company has good standard products and can be innovative. There is opportunity to perform a variety of tasks that may be outside your normal job function.

Cons

The owner is his own worst enemy. I personally witnessed this guy publicly scream at employees for doing exactly what he directed them to do. The employees are constantly looking over their shoulders wondering if it is their day to be either screamed at or walked out. This company has the highest turnover rate I had ever heard of! Many people do not even last a week there. After being hired, many have just disappeared and never returned after witnessing how this company is run. The owner's favorite saying is that this company is his "sandbox" and he can do what he pleases within it. He does not take responsibility for his actions and does not understand how a business should be run. He makes questionable decisions that hamstring the company and then behaves unprofessionally to his employees in the fall out. There is little to no training for employee,s so creating opportunities for an employee to have a chance to succeed is nil. I was at the company about 5 years and in that time production management completely changed over 4 times, operations management turned over 3 times, engineering management turned over 6 times, and quality management turned over 8 times. I would discourage anyone from taking employment at this company and I would also discourage purchasing products from this company because the company is severely out of control in all aspects and delivery as well as quality is suspect. Quality issues run rampant through the company and there is no corrective action system. Even though their on time delivery is less than 50%, they still can't get the products right and will take ill advised shortcuts just to get product out the door, whether it is good or not. One last thought, during my time there only one person was promoted in the company to a higher position so opportunities for advancement are near zero. Additionally, there was only one merit increase in that time.

Pros

Great co workers to work with if they last (leave on own terms or terminated). Work with a variety of interesting products. Always up to giving employees new training opportunities.

Cons

CEO is never around and when he is everyone is on edge and is always looking for reasons to terminate someone. Really no clue who was actually in charge of the company and day to day operations. Only opportunity for advancement is if you are "in" with upper management (aka owners). Demanding and unattainable goals. Goals and projects seem to change daily.

Stay away from this company

Pros

There is training available if you ask for it. Some education is covered by the employer. Favoritism seems to rule here.

Cons

Company is grossly mismanaged and being driven into the ground. They chase away the smart employees and managers even if they do their jobs well. The CEO seems imbalanced, yells and is unprofessional to his employees. He even chased of one of his children.
