Pros

I learned a lot at this company but after the reorganization everything changed for the worse. Some really good people left here but they're hostages (want to leave but can't).

Cons

Boring projects. Terrible leadership. The future of this company doesn't look so good after so much great talent has left.

Pros

Employees are hard working and committed. There's little micro-management, depending on your manager. You also get to work with a lot of other companies, mostly larger corporations, but also some startups. Another pro is you get to work with a lot of different technologies, though this can be good or bad since you usually don't get to choose.

Cons

The biggest con is the lack of compensation. An engineering salary there is much lower than other companies in the area, including most startups. The equity/profit sharing is not worth much, the medical plan is not good, and there is no 401k matching. But hey there are free snacks I guess. It it also a very chaotic environment with no central leadership. This unfortunately leads to employees working longer hours than needed, and unhappy clients. Management is not very open, which leads to distrust. The work itself is not as interesting as everyone claims. It's mostly building software for large companies. The office is also very compact and loud. It's oftentimes difficult to get work done with all the noise. I think a lot of people on here are probably biased. In my opinion, it would be better to just work for a large tech company or as a contractor, and make a lot more money.

Pros

* The office manager is fantastic, but unfortunately she has no office to lead anymore because no one shows up * You are able to work your way up pretty far in the company if you stay long enough * You get to work on a lot of different projects all the time, albeit sometimes projects can be a bit lackluster * The company is all for you using your unlimited PTO as much as you want, as long as your current project is in a good state * Work life balance is really good

Cons

Here are my main problems: * The management continually makes decisions that contradict what the employees of the company want * The stock options are a joke * The great engineers are spread so thin on projects that they can't offer guidance to the more junior engineers * People keep getting hired/promoted who don't deserve it, and those who do deserve promotions are often times forgotten about * Management has no idea what people are doing at any point in time. You can not do any work on a project and no one will know/care so projects are always delayed * The culture in the company has almost completely left, and because of that it seems that most of the old employees have left or are planning to leave * The company is pretty bad at getting new projects, so often times there are engineers doing nothing
