Pros

Room to make your job what you want it, prove you are competent at any given skill and that skill can be added to your job description. Large, stable, well diversified business. Senior leadership in Quebec are intelligent people who communicate effectively.

Cons

Too much work based on number of staff. For example, by the end of my employment with Optimum I had 3 full-time jobs. No IT support in Vancouver. Unreasonable/unattainable audit requirements. Disconnect between local management and head office senior leadership.

Decent staff, Horrible pay

Pros

The Vancouver branch definitely values staff interaction and does a lot of employee events, and the benefits are pretty good. The office is also centrally located.

Cons

The pay is awful, and they refuse to consider remote options for employees, even for processing roles that don't require any in-office interaction.
