Solid people but management struggles post-acquisition. Total loss of culture.

Pros

Some solid people there, Vice President of HR seems to actually care about the people there.

Cons

Really went downhill within the last year, management preached that there would be no change with the Canyon Point Acquisition - that was until a mass number of employees lost there job. I wish optimal was back to its prior self, as it really did feel like a place I was proud to work at prior to the acquisition.

Running downhill at full speed

Pros

- Solid work/life balance when needed - Enjoyed working with teams internally - Below upper management, most employees were solid - Most clients were good to work with -Remote workers used to be included in activities before acquisitions - at the start of my position, values were upheld

Cons

- Cosplaying CEO, only there to celebrate "wins" - HR complaints seemed to be used against you - Hindsight is 20/20, every problem was reactive and history repeated itself constantly - A players were over worked over time, and C players were never pushed to improve - notice about major changes were ever announced with advance notice. Always last minute and disorganized.

Pros

- A lot of good people work there. - Remote roles (although they are starting to move everything in house and eliminating an abdundance of positions). - Will pay for certifications.

Cons

- Bad upper management, especially in the past 18 months. - Do not follow their own core values. - Changes have brought client disruptions and a magnitude of job losses.
