- Hostile environment for women. Management once told me that they preferred to hire homogenously gendered departments because doing otherwise is a liability. No thought to training staff to treat women in tech with respect, instead. - Network security is not a priority. - Customer service is not a priority. Manager once told me the customer is not always right and that they refuse to deal with difficult customers. I frequently heard this manager yelling at customers. This ISP services communities with contracts, so there is no incentive to improve acumen with individuals. - Upper management has no interest in training its staff, so as to advance it into more senior roles. - Pay well below average.
