Pros

A pay check, free parking, close to the beltway so you can make it back home quickly, and that's about it.

Cons

If you get an offer ask to see or have them explain what their employee engagement numbers look like and that will tell you everything you need to know about the company. It was once a great place to work, but not now it is demoralizing. The company talks about engaging employees, but yet implements more micromanagement techniques. This is a text book case of the company talking the talk but NOT walking the walk in employee engagement. Good old boy system in place its not about what you know, but who you know for advancement. Very political, most managers dont know much of anything in terms of how to execute projects based on industry standards in oil and gas, but yet get promoted. Most managers have very limited exposure to the oil and gas industry outside of Cameron/OneSubsea.

Pros

Good office location (that is all)

Cons

Stress full, lack of knowledge Extremely paranoid - they feel pride in saying they don't trust anyone and you will know you're part of that "anyone." No trust shown in terms of anything related to work/office whatsoever; even the longest serving employees know no details about anything. You need to report each and everything in absolute detail; initially you'd be asked only to provide general update but that will eventually finish into the deepest detail you could provide. Extremely controlled work environment - even where and how you sit needs to be defined by the highest level of management. You will feel like your hands are tied behind and you still need to produce at your best. I assume you guys are imaginative enough to think of the consequences! Confidence reaching arrogance - the confidence reaches arrogance for what they have produced. And that leads sometimes to publish misleading reports. Even good change not welcomed - almost impossible to bring any change because of the points mentioned above. And the main reason they still have a legacy system they are proud of. No fun at work - be "professionals" is the mantra. And that means not even talk about anything else. And when the higher management isn't around everyone just let lose.
