Pros

It's very close to B&Q and there's a decent gastro-pub over the road. THERE ISN'T ONE LEGITIMATE POSITIVE REVIEW HERE. THE POSITIVE ONES ALL HAVE THE SAME DATE!!!! THINK ABOUT IT, READ THE GENERIC "ONE CALL FAMILY" "CALL CENTRE BUT PLENTY OF JOBS AWAY FROM THE PHONES" LMAO.

Cons

Where to start. The staff are scared of the management. The directors think they are gangsters. They promise 18k a year but pay less than minimum wage. They increase sales targets mid-month to make them unachievable and expect you to work for free. They deduct wages for anything they can. The training is appalling. They rip off and mis-sell to customers left right and centre but as soon as there's a complaint it's the advisors fault. Staff turnover is ridiculous.

Pros

Very few, good nights out with great staff at the cost of fair wages and good treatment of staff.

Cons

Where to start, what an awful company down to its very core. The business is set up to make its Directors rich (and half of them are thick as wallpaper paste), they work hard perhaps, competent, definitely not. Everyone is dispensable, staff turn over is ridiculously high due to awful treatment and fear is rife. Nice flash cars outside for the Directors, terrible pay and treatment for everyone else. No toilet before 10am or after 5, unpaid overtime, shambolic 'management' who haven't got a clue, maybe thats learnt from above. Managers a laughably incompetent apart from one or two who are probably too nice to stick around for too long. Canteen is 'subsidised' but costs more than shop over road. Charity events are pretty much compulsory. Customer care is none existant and any opportunity or chance to rip them off is taken. Please please please do not go for a job here, you will regret it.

Pros

You’ll notice all the good reviews are by people who currently work there. I can assure you managers pretty much force staff to write reviews and hover over shoulders until it’s done. If you enjoy the school playground environment then this is the job for you. You’ll have to come in early for unpaid training outside your working hours. You’ll get spoken to like a child and if your “face doesn’t fit” expect to be belittled, ignored and talked about until you quit or get fired. Managers only care about staff meeting targets. That’s so they can sit on their arses barking orders and get a nice bonus each month. Don’t expect any help, you’ll be expected to know everything from the crappy 4 weeks of training you get. If your genuinely poorly they’ll take £100 out of your wages. Complusary overtime exists at one call so don’t make plans on a weekend even though your meant to be off... you’ll work every weekend because your line manager will rota you in, even if you can’t work. You’ll lose £100, a months ovetime and get a disciplinary if you don’t come in. 70 work weeks are not optional. This is the worst place I’ve ever worked for. Trust the people who no longer work for the company. I had to leave because I literally had a breakdown from how I was treated by my manager. THIS IS A HOSTILE WORKING ENVIRONMENT.

Cons

One call is a con. Bunch of rip of merchants who care more about making money than what is best for the customer.

Thank you for reviewing our company - we appreciate all feedback good and bad We always ask staff to review our service, I'm sure you can appreciate this helps us to understand any gaps we may have to ensure that the company continuously strives to do better. The training we provide is to update you on all procedures to ensure that you have the knowledge to process consumers details accurately and appropriately, as a regulated firm we have to ensure that our colleagues receive a certain amount of training every Month/Year for which you sometimes have to attend in your own time to further develop your own careers, this is also why you receive an attendance bonus. Regarding the £100 attendance bonus, it is exactly that - an additional benefit for you that we don't have to provide but what we give to our colleagues as a bonus for attending work and on time, we want to reward our colleagues for having great attendance and what better way than to say thank you than with an extra £100 every month! Regarding our overtime we have various shift patterns that we have to cover so that we can service our consumers efficiently and ask that you help to achieve this, we always give 30 days notice for any Rota/Overtime and we pay a very desirable £15 an hour for this, we appreciate you have lives to live which is why we ask you for your shifts in advance so that we can accommodate, as with the attendance bonus if you don't turn up for your overtime shifts then no unfortunately we wouldn't pay you an extra £100 attendance bonus, we feel as a company that is fair I can only apologise that you feel that we weren't the company for you to pursue a career with, we do appreciate your comments and would like to wish you all the best with your future career plans Many Thanks
