Pros

Very positive corporate outlook, near MRT, located at Suntec, good medical and dental benefit, basic pay is not high but pay good bonus

Cons

Extremely racist Indian Company that got listed in Singapore during ex-President’s time. Plenty of opportunities were given to Indian recruited from India and groomed them to managerial position. Most locals remain as rank and file even though have been worked for the company for more than 10 years. Communication barrier as most Indian managers can’t speak proper English and some of them bring the caste culture to company.

unhealthy culture in management

Pros

Pay and some really nice people within the employees (bottom line)

Cons

Company is based in Singapore, it's a culture of order and obey, servitude. Nobody dares speak up out of fear either of being let go, and fear of managers hostility. Top management is not merit based but friends and connections from India. Top management is clueless, but only orders and demands. This is passed along the management chain up to US managers and below and everybody just obeys as they want to keep their job or not have problems. Ultimately the most affected is the bottom line worker. Every manager's job seems to be just protecting their relation with their upper management, therefore nobody listens to employees or cares about anything. If they are demanded something, they push this unto employees no matter how overworked they already are. HR doesn't care and is in servitude to this entire structure. Many of the top executives based in Singapore are friends or people that know each other outside of work for a long time, so that relationship weighs more than what any US manager or HR could say.

Pros

No good points about this company that I can think of. Perhaps after working in this place and witnessing for yourself how the products are made in their standard of GMP environment, you will think twice before buying the products that they have a part to produce.

Cons

Poor management who has no clear directions for the company. Targets set are not realistic with no proper basis used, and employees are pressured hard to meet it. When they realised the targets can't be reached, they unoffically adjusted the targets and by that time, employees' morale are low due to daily lashings from the management. Unsafe workplace. PTW system needs to be improved. Process equipment are not properly maintained, and leakages are a common sight around the facility. Turnover rate is so high and knowledge is not retained. Engineering documents are not available, P&IDs are not up to date. New system are commissioned without protocols in place. SOPs are poorly written. FMEA is non-existent and troubleshooting is based on trial and error. Decision are made with personal agenda, which is similar to their promotion excercise. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this company for aspiring engineers and new graduates. Nice image they have protrayed, but no system inside.
