Pros

So something that OP does is that they tell their employees to give a positive review of OP and then all those that do get put in a bucket and a few are given gift cards to random places in the valley. If you notice a surge of reviews that goes for a few days...ignore those reviews. (look at April's reviews)

Cons

On the outside the company seems fantastic, but within it is very clicky. If you do not get along with someone, you will be bullied out. You are not given a warning or a chance to see how a problem can be fixed. Ideas that you offer are not taken seriously unless you have been one of the prized few that are buddies with management. Long hours and constantly being watched of what you are doing and if you are living up to the standard of the prized few.

Pros

There were some great people on the local team (Tampa, FL), nice health insurance plan and PTO days (if you were are ever able to take them).

Cons

Lack of work/life balance; expected to work 7 days a week (often worked 75+ hrs a week); corporate would not provide the tools needed to perform tasks efficiently so the use of personal items was needed without reimbursement of costs; lack of respect and proper communication from the corporate office (AZ).

Pros

They allowed us to work from home Free snacks and beverages

Cons

Low pay Poor benefits Bad PTO program Open space seating/kindergarten style No 401k matching No maternity leave Time was micromanaged if hourly Do not let the high ratings mislead you. They asked their employees to write a good review and as a reward they were entered into a raffle for several prizes. So if you look at April's ratings you will see a lot of good reviews on the same day. We were told...they had a plan in place to come out of this recession better and stronger. They asked everyone to take unpaid time off for two weeks. They told us that we were family and they had a plan to avoid layoffs. Two weeks into the plan, and without warning, they laid off 150 people. We were totally blind sided! We've recently learned that the lay off was always part of the plan, they could have warned us but they chose not to.

Thank you or your feedback. As many companies experienced in 2020, the unprecedented impact of the pandemic affected many companies and many individual lives. I can assure you, several measures were implemented in an attempt to avoid the impacting of jobs at Offerpad. As for our benefits, we offer unlimited PTO for the majority of our positions, and we do, in fact, have various leaves of absence available to all employees. If you had a specific situation in mind you'd like to share, please contact People Ops.
