Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really do appreciate it. Great to see that you have highlighted a number of positives particularly the learning opportunities. We have our award winning digital learning platform, O2 Campus, which means our people can pick the development that is relevant to them at any time. You have mentioned progression is controlled by the line managers, all of our vacancies are advertised internally and we actively encourage our people to apply so they can progress their careers in the way that they want to. If you feel that progression is being limited then we would encourage you to reach out to your Line Manager or MyHR to have a conversation around how they can support. Thank you for being part of Team O2.

Pros

I love the company culture and how everyone is really friendly and helpful. It feels like we are all working towards the same purpose. Pay and benefits are really good from what I can tell, and there's plenty of scope to move up or even move around the business.

Cons

An increasing reliance on outsource and managed services tends to put a damper on the collaborative spirit. Most O2 employees are happy to help each other out even if it's not specifically part of their job, but for contractors who are there for a specific purpose and are only paid for the documented work they are asked to, they are often unwilling to go beyond their job description (which is completely understandable). There's also a fair degree of uncertainty as to the group level plans, especially since the failed Hutch merger which was the last time that Group was clear about its long term intentions.

Great title for your review and pleasing to see that you feel it is a great company to work for and that for you, the culture and the people you work with really make the difference. On your point on contractors, as a business we do need to reach out to people who have the skills and expertise, that in some areas,we don't necessarily have and that is crucial for us to do this to continue to deliver and innovate for our customers. We do have a third party supplier who helps us to recruit for our contractors and they work within our business so they know the type of people that fit within o2 so we would like to think that the majority have the passion and drive and commitment to continue our reputation as a customer champion. On your point of our group level plans at our conference we believe it was clear as to the long term intentions and it was very apparent that the Group are 100% behind what we are doing and they are continuing to invest in us due to the performance and the results we are delivering. If you feel that you need more information around this then please do reach out to your Line Manager who can give you more information/insight. Thanks for the review we really do appreciate your feedback.
